Invisible War

Game concept:

​

This is a group project. It's a online PVP game developed using unreal engine 4. In this game, players need to use your spray to make other invisible component appear and kill them to be the last survivor to win the game.

​

Game features:

​

  • Local Network : one player can create a lobby and wait for other players to join to start the game. Audio, animation and game status are synchronized across all players on the network.

 

  • First Person View multi-player game.

 

  • Detect and kill : with the help of moving enemy indication(a white spot point on the screen edge) and the sound caused by moving players(walking sound? Or even door opening sound), players can locate the exact position of other players(enemies). Kill them will help you to be the last survivor and win the game!​

 

  • Material with dynamic visibility : in our game, visibility of one player will be decided by whether the game character is hit by spray(partly visible) or the player stays still for too long(the whole game character turning from totally invisible to visible).

 

  • Interactive Game scene : Pick up in-game items including books and traps in game scene. Throw books you picked up and set traps you collect.Rooms may also turned into dangerous ones during playing.

 

  • Be careful about sound : All the action, include walking, attacking, would have sound/noise, other players could hear these sounds and deduce that location.

  • Original game assets : furniture models, spray, game scenes(formed by several rooms) are all original and created by our team member.

​

  • Dangerous room mechanism: as game plays, some rooms may randomly become dangerous with red alerts. Staying this room too long will directly kill a player. This facilitate the game process.
